Salary: Principal £46,000 - £53,000 DOE; Associate £53,000 - £57,000 DOE

Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Geoenvironmental Engineer to join our award-winning Ground Engineering consultancy, to manage projects related to contaminated land assessment and remediation, with values ranging from <£5k to >£250k. This role involves overseeing various project types and phases, managing including site-based subcontractor works.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and execute contaminated land projects in line with scope, budget, and programme to achieve client-defined deliverables
- Lead multi-disciplinary technical teams, coordinating various workstreams to achieve project outcomes
- Monitor and control the progress and financial performance of multiple projects concurrently
- Procure and manage supply chain/subcontractors for site work activities
- Ability for continued success with client care, including the introduction of new clients or the continued maintenance of existing ones and selling of company services to prospective clients.
- Produce relevant risk assessments and method statements (RAMS) for site works and ensure Health & Safety remains at the core of all project activities
- Create proposals for new opportunities, developing pricing to account for technical and commercial risks
- Support the Associate Director in improving project delivery processes and tools
Attributes:
The ideal candidate will demonstrate the following qualifications, skills, and experience:
- Chartered status in a relevant discipline (Geologist, Environmental Scientist, Engineer, or Waste Management)
- Bachelor degree in Environmental Science, Geology, Chemistry, or related field, Masters degree preferable, but not essential
- Proven experience in contaminated land consultancy
- Strong understanding of contaminated land site investigation and assessment
- In-depth knowledge of risk assessment frameworks and methodologies including experience with risk assessment software (e.g. CLEA, RTM etc) and completing Detailed Quantitative Risk Assessments
- Experience with waste assessments and waste management guidance (e.g. DoWCoP) and preparation of Material Management Plans
- Familiarity with relevant software tools and data interpretation techniques
- Experience in proposal writing and project costing
- Strong analytical skills and a curious, inquisitive mindset
- Excellent leadership and collaboration skills within a multidisciplinary team
- Ability to work under time pressure, managing multiple priorities concurrently
- Full UK Driving License with ability and willingness to travel occasionally to client sites
