CGL are finalists at this year’s Constructing Excellence Yorkshire and Humber Awards. CGL is shortlisted in the Digital Construction category for GEO-STRAAT – GIS Risk Assessment of Linear Infrastructure.
Through research and development, CGL has created GIS spatial analysis modules that allow rapid hazard assessment of geotechnical and geoenvironmental hazards that pose risks to linear infrastructure. Designed with the evolving digital data future in mind, the system can incorporate new data sets as they become available, allowing for a continually improving assessment of the linear infrastructure route. This methodology produces superior map-based reports with reduced engineer time, both in reporting and onsite activities, saving clients money and time on their programme.
