Card Geotechnics Limited is created by Geoffrey Card in Worcester

1996
Ian Marychurch
joins the company. First project completed for National Grid; one of many and the start of the company's involvement in the power sector

1998
Nick Langdon
joins the company

2001
Leeds office opens to service National Grid. Company turnover exceeds £1 million Commencement of Wandsworth Riverside Quarter project (still ongoing) 

Aldershot office relocates to larger premises 

2002
Commencement of largest company project (£1 million in fees) - Orwell Quay, Ipswich 

2003
Ian Marychurch and Nick Langdon buy into the company

2004
Turnover exceeds £2 million

The company celebrates it's 10th anniversary

Exeter office opens

Beginning of work on Crossrail investigation

2008
Leeds office relocates to Harrogate and is headed up by Richard Pennock

Founding Director leaves the company

Company turnover exceeds £5 million. Staff numbers exceed 50 for the first time 

CGL's Chartered Geologist Training Programme gains accreditation
