Tony Demetriou has joined CGL as our new Managing Director. For the last two years, Tony has been the COO of Solutions By Nature, a joint venture between two RSK companies. Before this, he was Director of Water Services at Black and Veatch and brings with him a wealth of knowledge and experience in managing consultancies and change.
Tony joins at an exciting time for CGL, having joined Phenna Group’s Infrastructure Division in 2022, and winning two categories in this year’s Ground Engineering Awards (Ground Engineering Project of the Year, UK Project with a Geotechnical Value of between £500k and £1M). We continue to work on exciting projects with our 7 offices across the UK in Godalming, Exeter, London, Kent, Essex, Harrogate, Leicester & Dublin.
Tony is taking over from Paul Sheehan who has been Interim Managing Director for the last nine months. Paul will return to his role as Commercial Director moving forward.
In his new role, Tony will be responsible for CGL’s strategic growth and planning as well as maintaining our solid foundations and reputation within the geotechnical & geoenvironmental sector.
